BALMAIN Hair Perfume Vetiver 1974 100ml

Some scents belong to a place. Vetiver 1974 belongs to your hair. Part of Balmain Paris Hair Couture’s limited-edition Heritage Collection, this is the fragrance we mist over a fresh blowout at the studio, the one clients keep asking to take home before they’ve even reached the mirror.

Composed by master perfumer Cécile Zarokian, it opens bright and a little unexpected: fizzy grapefruit and tangy rhubarb lifted by bergamot and a whisper of black pepper. Underneath, geranium, rose and lily of the valley soften everything into something quietly floral. Then it settles where its name lives, into earthy vetiver, warm cedarwood and smoky guaiacwood rounded out by vanilla, amber and balsams. Unisex, grounding, and the kind of scent people lean in to place.

It is a fragrance first, but it treats your hair like one too. A featherweight alcohol base carries argan oil and hydrolyzed silk protein through the lengths, so strands drink in a little moisture and shine while they hold the scent. Nothing heavy, nothing sticky. Just movement that smells as good as it looks, hours after you leave the chair.

How to Use

Lift off the magnetic cap. Mist directly over dry, styled hair from roughly ten inches away, or spray once onto your brush and pull it through for a softer, more even veil of scent. Reach for it on second-day hair to refresh, or as the final touch on a blowout. Do not rinse.
