Some scents whisper. House turns the music up. Built by DJ-turned-perfumer Zernell Gillie as a love letter to the Chicago house sound of the mid-to-late 1980s, this is an extrait de parfum with a pulse: fruit-forward and glowing up top, warm and skin-close by the end of the night.

It opens sweet and a little untamed, ripe fig folding into tart raspberry. Underneath, a silky floral heart of jasmine and orange flower keeps things lush without ever tipping into powdery. Then the base does the real work. Suede-soft saffron, creamy Hawaiian sandalwood, a hush of oud, and vanilla-warm tonka bean settle into your skin and stay there. Cashmere musk and ambrette round the edges so it wears close and intimate rather than loud. This is the bottle our fragrance-loving clients keep coming back to sample twice, because it reads differently in the air than it does on the wrist, and better on skin than either.

As an extrait, House is the most concentrated way to wear this composition, so a little carries you a long way and lingers for hours. It’s genuinely unisex, hand-poured in the USA, vegan and cruelty-free, and made without sulfates, parabens, phthalates, or palm oil.

How to Wear It

Spritz or dab onto warm pulse points, the inner wrists, the base of the throat, behind the ears, on clean, moisturized skin. Skip rubbing your wrists together; it bruises the top notes. One or two touches is plenty for an extrait this rich. For a softer trail, mist it into the air and walk through it. For external use only; avoid broken skin.
