Wendy Iles designed the Iles Formula Hair Turban Towel for exactly that overlooked moment — the celebrity session stylist’s answer to the roughest step in nearly everyone’s routine, here in its soft grey colorway.

The fabric is the whole story. Iles tested her microfiber beside more technical toweling and found the high-tech options actually scratched the surface of already-fragile hair, so she kept the one with an interior that feels almost like cashmere — quick to drink up water and remarkably gentle on the hair shaft while it does. Less friction means less static, less frizz, and less breakage, which is why we reach for it on curly textures, color-treated lengths, and strands that have already been through enough.

The cut is generous on purpose. An elasticized edge with a button-and-loop closure holds the twist securely on any head size, and the turban runs extra long so it wraps comfortably over hair extensions — a detail our extension clients notice immediately. Shorter hair simply gets wound through an extra turn or two before it buttons closed.

How to Use

After washing, tip your head forward, twist your hair into the towel, and secure the twist through the button loop. Leave it to absorb while you get on with your morning. To keep the cashmere-soft feel, wash it by hand or on a cold, gentle machine cycle, adding a little fabric conditioner to preserve that soft interior.
